The content of this course has been selected by experts from SSVN Survival Skills based on common incidents and injuries that may occur during sports activities. This course will equip you with the essential knowledge to assess situations, handle common injuries such as sprains, fractures, head injuries, as well as more serious incidents like sudden cardiac arrest. At the same time, you will also learn how to effectively coordinate with the health professionals.

Instructions on taking care of common injuries and health incidents such as your family’s health events, outdoor activity and sport injuries, health incidents in the office, and a special focus on helping children and elders.

Note: You can take this course after completing a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Child Care course.

The program consists of 2 modules to master the theory and confidently perform first aid in real situations:

1. Theoretical online course: will help you be fully equipped with First Aid knowledge and the background knowledge needed to prepare yourself for practice.

2. Direct practice in class (offline): will help you correct first aid postures and movements until they meet the standards. Direct interaction between trainers and students will help answer your questions, and also expand your practical knowledge about first aid.

Apart from a course completion certificate, you will also receive material to help you study and memorize the information such as manuals, videos, mobile apps, and more, so that you are always ready for emergency situations.

And maybe one day you will be able to save your loved ones, friends, or even strangers, just as many other SSVN students do.

According to international regulations, SSVN’s First Aid training program is updated regularly to ensure that students are always presented with the latest knowledge and most effective techniques. At the same time, in accordance with the regulations, students are recommended to re-do the full First Aid course every year in order to review and practice regularly. Therefore, this course is valid for 365 days from the date of payment.

According to the WHO, the most significant causes of unintentional injury and death in the world include road traffic accidents, drowning, burns, falls and poisoning. Injuries are among the leading causes of death among children under the age of 15 years.

The purpose of this program is to provide you, the teacher, with an awareness of Hazards so that you can present this knowledge to your students who can then share with friends and family members.

An awareness of Hazards in the community may decrease the likelihood of an incident happening in the first place. This in turn provides safer schools, homes, workplaces and communities.

The online course only covers the theoretical knowledge about First Aid for kids. The content includes 2 modules with 24 parts.

Note:

• This course only equips you with useful knowledge. It is not a substitute for hands-on practice to be able to act correctly in emergencies. This course is only suitable for learners who cannot participate in SSVN’s practical courses held in Ho Chi Minh City.
• Taking both hands-on practice and online theory course is recommended. Please consider Basic First Aid training (theory and practice) if the course is available in your area. You take this course first, within 365 days from the time of your payment, the fee will be deducted directly to your hands-on practice course if you decide to take it later.

The answer is “No” – right? Moreover, “protecting” children at home is not necessarily conducive to the comprehensive development of them.

So how can we minimize injuries in accidents that may happen to our children?

According to SSVN, one of the best ways is to invite children to cooperate with you in ensuring their own safety.

What will your children learn after this course?

At this age, expecting a child to learn first aid in order to be able to save others is a bit overwhelming. The highest purpose of learning first aid at this stage is to help children be aware of SELF-PROTECTION in any accidents.

Therefore, the course will cover topics such as:

• The scene approach procedure (DR.CAB/DRS.ABCD) emphasizes instructing children to take precautions, not to touch victims until they have checked for hazards around.
• Order of priority in First Aid
• How to handle an unconscious victim
• How to handle hemostasis
• How to handle burns
• What to do when encountering a fierce dog and when being bitten by a dog.

With this First Aid course, your children will:

• Know how to help themselves in emergency situations
• Know some basic dangers to avoid in an accident: do not immediately touch an unconscious person, check for electric shock, call adults rather than rush to help when seeing their friend drowning.
• When your children are taught what to do in an emergency, it will help them stay calm in a real situation. When children are calm and know how to call for help, they do cooperate well in handling the accident.

It is difficult to properly perform CPR in a real-life situation just by watching the tutorial clip. Therefore, we recommend that you attend first aid training programs with practice so that you can do effective CPR.If one of your family members suddenly had a heart attack, what would you do?  How long does it take for an ambulance to arrive?  You only have 4 minutes before the person is brain dead, so Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is the only way to prolong the victim’s life.  CPR is simultaneously applied to sudden cardiac arrest, drowning, and foreign body aspiration for both children and adults.  Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course will help you to do CPR properly, thereby prolonging the life of the victim. 

The program is devided into 2 parts:  

• Part 1: Online class: It will help you equip basic first aid knowledge in approaching victims and knowledge about performing CPR.  
• Part 2: Hands-on practice training (offline) : After mastering the theory, practice is a mandatory requirement for you to do CPR properly and effectively. In the hands-on class, you will:Be directly guided and adjusted the movements from professional trainer.
  Practice on a mannequin to familiarize yourself with the intensity and tempo of CPR.
  Be directly answered your questions/difficulty in first aid/CPR by professinal trainer.

The importance of learning to practice CPR:

• Successful CPR is performed when:
• The force acting on the right position of the heart.
• Appropriate force intensity. If it is too weak, it will not be effective. For children, it should not be too strong.
• The right pace. Since the force your arms exerts on your heart helps pump blood around the body, so you need to do CPR at a faster rate than your heart rate.
• Performing rescue breathing requires a suitable position to both breathe and observe the victim’s abdomen.
