Review

This Fellowship is about Leadership and Equity, it is about all of us aspiring to contribute to the larger “societal good”. But before we do that, I want us to take a step back and to get to know each of you as a person, and perhaps helping you learn a little bit about yourself in the process. Our goal for this course is to help draw out the values and strengths within you that have been implicit (or hidden), and make them more explicit, so that you will have better access to them, and thereby be more intentional and consistent in your use of them in your everyday life.

In this course, you will have an opportunity to explore in-depth your personal values and character strengths and are expected to engage in serious self-reflection about who you are and who you aspired to be. After completing this course, you will have completed two exercises (your list of Personal Core Values and your Signature Character Strengths) that will be the basis for your on-going reflection. You can also use them for sharing and discussions, particularly during our coaching sessions together. It is my hope that doing so will give the fellows the opportunity to observe others’ core values and promote dialogue about differences present as well as any common values.

Have fun!
