An awareness of Hazards in the community may decrease the likelihood of an incident happening in the first place. Students will become aware of potential dangers they may encounter in their daily lives and to have them think about ways in which they could minimise the risks. This in turn provides safer schools, homes, workplaces and communities.

According to the WHO, the most significant causes of unintentional injury and death in the world include road traffic accidents, drowning, burns, falls and poisoning. Injuries are among the leading causes of death among children under the age of 15 years.
The purpose of this program is to provide you, the teacher, with an awareness of Hazards so that you can present this knowledge to your students who can then share with friends and family members.
